Metropolitan Express Transport Services is committed to provide maintenance and improve safety out in the workplace and on the road for the benefit of all employees, customers and the general public
There is NO compromise made with regard to safety and both the management and site-based staff are fully involved in maintaining a safe working environment.

The company safety standards incorporate:

  • The provision of safe working conditions for employees
  • The provision and maintenance of safe motor vehicles, plant and equipment
  • The provision of training necessary for employees and contractors to safely carry out duties
  • The taking of all practical steps to avoid any incidents
  • The regard that of all accidents as preventable
  • The requirement for all employees and contractors to follow safe operating practices and procedures that safeguard the public and other employees at all times
  • Regular site safety inspections by senior management
  • The encouragement of hazards reporting and risk assessment


In terms of training, Metropolitan Express Transport Services devote considerable resources to ensure that all staff are truly trained to the level of “ BEST” practice. Training courses are run both, on and off site, at our own training centres. Other equally comprehensive courses are run in respect of other disciplines.

All employees and contractors of Metropolitan Express Transport Services are encouraged to participate in our traineeship and apprenticeship programs, in conjunction with our registered training organisation, Deacon Stewart Training P/L.

Metropolitan Express Transport Services conducts ongoing in-house refresher and advanced training.
