Commitment to the environment

In launching it’s all-new 2008 model ranges, Isuzu exceeded the requirements of the latest emission requirements stipulated under ADR80/02 design rules, by developing all new engines which comply with the much more stringent EuroIV emissions requirements.

Isuzu has shown it’s competitors a clean pair of heals as far as its commitment to a cleaner environment is concerned, in its voluntary compliance with more advanced EuroIV standards, All of it’s Japanese competitors available in Australia has chosen to meet the less demanding Australian Design Rules requirement that from 2008 all new trucks comply with US EPA04 standards as minimum.

This has meant that the new range of Isuzu SiTEC Series 11 engines produce as little as one sixth of he level of particulate matter (PM) standard met by their Japanese competitors. PM is he smoke, soot and harmful invisible unburned hydrocarbons emitted from a truck’s exhaust.

Isuzu Clean Air Solutions (I-CAS) technology was applied to the new engines to meet these high environment standards: I-CAS incorporates three key technologies to improve emissions and increase efficiency. These include ‘in-cylinder’ combustion optimisation technology, the very latest in exhaust aftertreatment processes and the most advanced in-house developments in electronic control technology.

As Australian truck market sales leader for 19 consecutive years, Isuzu is not only committed to being the market leader, but exceeding its owners’ expectations in every possible way, and this included providing truck buyers and the wider community with the cleanest truck range possible. After all would you expect anything less from Australia’s favourite truck?
